Taco Bell Chihuahua Gidget Dies

She charmed millions without ever saying a word, and managed to make fast food tacos sustainable. Gidget, the Chihuahua best known for her Taco Bell ad campaign, died from a stroke on Tuesday, July21, 2009 at the age 15. "Gidget was the consummate professional while on set” said Gidget's trainer, Sue Chipperton.

The mostly retired actor lived out her days lying in the sun and taking life easy. “I found it amazing that Gidget was would lite up at the stusio” says Chipperton – and entertaining and cordial with the crew. A camera operator stated – “She seemed to always find her light and knew exactly when the camera was on”.
R.I.P. little Gidget, I am going to drive to Taco Bell and have a nacho bellgrande in your honor. Yo Quiero Taco Bell!

Famous Maltese Dogs

Precious Pooches - The most famous Maltese in the world is also one of the wealthiest. Leona Helmsley's Maltese dog named Trouble was left a $12 Million dollar trust fund. Her will declared that the dog was to be buried alongside her and her late husband in a mausoleum. Leona also left $3 Million for the continuous care of that mausoleum. A judge later overturned this, and the dog was given only $2 Million for the dogs care. I think that Trouble will still be able to live the lush life!

Heather Locklear has a beautiful male Maltese. This little dog is named Harley. I am assuming that it is after Harley-Davidson, as Heather is an active rider. Dame Elizabeth Taylor had a beautiful Maltese named Sugar. I had the pleasure of meeting Sugar a few years ago (she was very possessive). Unfortunately Sugar passed away and la Liz purchased a new Maltese named Daisy.

Eva Longoria has a famous Maltese named Jinxie. She considers her dog to be part of the family, so much that Jinxie was a part of her wedding to Tony Parker. Jinxie followed her down the aisle wearing a miniature vale and was front row during the nuptials. Halle Berry has two famous Maltese dogs. They are a male and a female. They are named Willy and Polly. This famous actress takes her dogs just about everywhere and often brings them to photo shoots and they stay on set while she is filming movies.

The late Anna Nicole Smith had a famous Maltese named Marilyn. The beautiful dog was named, naturally, after Marilyn Monroe. She was Anna’s favorite star and she spent two years living in the only home MM ever owned.
