Taco Bell Chihuahua Gidget Dies
She charmed millions without ever saying a word, and managed to make fast food tacos sustainable. Gidget, the Chihuahua best known for her Taco Bell ad campaign, died from a stroke on Tuesday, July21, 2009 at the age 15. "Gidget was the consummate professional while on set” said Gidget's trainer, Sue Chipperton.
The mostly retired actor lived out her days lying in the sun and taking life easy. “I found it amazing that Gidget was would lite up at the stusio” says Chipperton – and entertaining and cordial with the crew. A camera operator stated – “She seemed to always find her light and knew exactly when the camera was on”.
R.I.P. little Gidget, I am going to drive to Taco Bell and have a nacho bellgrande in your honor. Yo Quiero Taco Bell!
